Emily Koesters

Emily Koesters is one of our special True Buddies.
She might be small but has the will of a Little Giant. Little Giants Foundation was started
in the Spring of 2009 to help those affected with rare genetic dwarfisms. The main focus is the fatal disease of SIOD (Schimke Immuno-osseous Dysplasia), which affects
4 children in the United States and only 45 ever in the world.
Emily Koesters is one of those 4.

	“It’s Not All About EWE” The True Buddy Program “buddies up” typical peers with children who experience developmental disabilities, those who face medical challenges, and children dealing with trauma in their lives. That means everyone is welcome! We can’t make these kids better, but there is one thing that we can do, make each and every one of our True Buddy youth the rock stars that they deserve to be! Also, we can give their parents an opportunity to sit down and enjoy watching their kids having fun and making connections with people and animals, which they didn’t do before. Find out more about how this club began and how it continues to grow with the help of 4-H kids who are dedicated to making a difference in the world.
